The Boy's Festival is the event that is old having been continued since the Nara era.
I let the eaves do the medicinal herb which avoided malarial air, and expelled a demon and a done sweet flag with a mugwort, and it was bathed in as a sweet-flag bath put in the hot water, and I prayed for a perfect state of health in those days.

The times changed to samurai family society and became the Naotake (a samurai is respected) festival when "a sweet flag" was crossed with "Naotake".
This flow was received, and the ceremonial occasion when Tokugawa shogunate government was important was set with May 5 in the Edo era.
When a daimyo and a direct feudatory of a shogun were embarrassed by Edo-jo Castle in a formal dress, and a boy was born of a general again, a commander's standard and a flag were put up in front of the entrance, and it was celebrated.

With the times, an armor and the helmet which protected the body were displayed, and a carp streamer was put up, and it was a festival to celebrate birth and the growth of the boy in this way.

An exciting decoration is a wonderful excellent armor helmet.
When it was impressed by the brave an armor helmet to look at for the first time, and the customer of many foreigners took a ceremonial photograph, it was enjoyed very much.
